We have been with ihug (in Dunedin) for almost a year now and overall have been satisfied with their services. We initially joined them for broadband because they offered us the best deal for price (free connection and modem, etc.) and service (faster and more data than Xtra or any other ISP). During the past year ihug have been awarded NZ’s best ISP award, and have shifted us up in speed for FREE, and now we are enjoying the fastest possible speeds currently available (although less than advertised, as is usual). We have found their help desk both friendly and useful. They were also very good at dealing with a faulty modem at the beginning, and credited our account for the trouble. The help desk has deteriorated a little since the introduction of a new phone system that has you on an endless loop of bad music, but they claim that this issue is one they are looking to resolve. We believe ihug still offer some of the most competitive rates for broadband compared to other ISPs, and have found their service of an above average standard. We are happy to recommend ihug to others who are looking for broadband at an affordable cost (significantly cheaper than Xtra).	Placed: 06/05/2006

Getting in touch with anybody from Ihug is a real pain! I have tried to ring Ihug and it is almost impossible to get to talk to a person without waiting for at least 30 minutes. I got told, that if I can, it would be better to send an email to get a fast answer. I did that 10 days ago and still no answer. With Ihug’s inernet service as such, I have no problem at all.
