We stayed at Bush Glen Motel when we moved from Christchurch to Auckland 6 months ago. We chose Bush Glen Motel because they were the only place (motels, hotels, holiday parks) that allowed dogs. My husband and I have a small dog called Sausage, and obviously needed a place that would take all 3 of us. The people that own this place were very helpful and friendly. Sausage was allowed to be inside the Motel room, and they gave us 2 car parks, as we had 2 cars. You would think being in the middle of Birkenhead that it wouldn’t be a great place to stay, but once you drive down the long driveway it is very peaceful and relaxing. We booked for a week and then ended up finding a house sooner than we thought, but they were happy to let us off the extra days even though we had booked them. Definately a great place to stay.
