Shore City Farmers (Takapuna) has had some changes lately. The store is much easier to get around and the quality of the clothes they now stock is so improved. Usually great service from the staff especially in the homewares department.	Placed: 12/08/2006 Edited: 15/06/2006

I used Farmers to fit out my baby’s room. I have to say that the staff I dealt with in three different Wgtn stores were pretty much brain dead. For example, I needed a mattress for my oval-shaped bassinet. They only had oblong mattresses on the floor so I asked the staff if they could order an oval one for me. Three different staff flicked through books and computers for ten minutes. After insisting that oval mattresses didn’t exist, one staff member went out the back and found a whole pile of them sitting in storage. Things like that irritate customers. I bought a TV from the Palmerston North Farmers Homeware store and waived delivery, thinking I could pick it up myself. However, when I arrived I realised it was too big to fit in my car. The truck driver offered to drive it to my house immediately, right then and there, free of charge!
